Leadership and Governance
The EIM Global Center (EIM-GC) is governed by an EIM Advisory Board that is composed of thoughtful and leading scientists and clinicians in the area of physical activity (PA) and non-communicable diseases (NCDs), who work with an EIM executive team (based at the American College of Sports Medicine's national headquarters in Indianapolis, USA) that is responsible for the operations of the EIM Global Health Initiative.
As an initiative that addresses a diverse audience, EIM has nine acting committees that bring together many of the leaders in their field of expertise. These committees have dedicated themselves to working on behalf of the goals and mission of EIM and to expand the initiative on both the local, natinal, and international levels. The committees are as follows:
- Clinical Practice
- Community Health
- Older Adult
- On Campus
- Underserved Populations
